The First Week!

We have had a great first week at preschool!  Our classroom theme is inspired by the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. so we have done a lot of activities based around the book.  These included creating a classroom book with each child in it, making a small version of a coconut tree with letters on it, making a necklace with the letters in our name and reading the book, as well as Chicka Chicka 1-2-3.

The kids helped us create rules for preschool.
                   -Listen
                   -Inside Voices
                   -Walking Feet
                   -Bodies to Self (no hitting, kicking, pushing, biting, etc)
                   -Be Nice
                   -Have Fun!

The preschoolers are getting into routine and getting to know each other.  I am enjoying getting to know each of them.  It is going to be a great year!

Welcome!

It was so exciting to meet all of you last night at Open House!  Thank you for coming.  I cannot wait for preschool to begin on Thursday and for this year to get started.  All of the kids seem like they are going to be so much fun.  I really enjoy getting to know each child's personality and how we all fit together in one class!
