We played CandyLand, Chutes and Ladders, Scrabble Jr, Sequence for Kids, and Hi Ho Cherry-O. All of the preschoolers had a great time! Thank you to those parents that were able to help out. We couldn't have done it without you!

Fairy Tales
Here are some pictures from our week of Fairy Tales. You will hopefully receive your newsletter and February calendars on Monday. The copy machine/printer is not working and we are waiting on the repair technician.
Size sequencing and matching the 3 bears and their chairs and beds.
Making crowns!
Making letter bread. Each preschooler got a ball of roll dough. They rolled it out like a long snake and then shaped it into the first letter of their name.
Story bracelet for the Three Little Pigs. Each bead stands for a part of the story.
3 pink = 3 pigs
yellow = house of straw
brown = house of sticks
red = house of bricks
black = big, bad wolf
blue = pot of boiling water
Put it all together and you have the story!

Wild West
Each preschooler created a cowboy boot with their first initial on it!
2nd grade buddies came to visit the afternoon class!
Working hard on our Yeehaw! books.
The preschoolers worked hard making a pattern snake. First they had to cut a spiral out of a paper plate. Next they glued orange and yellow squares on in a pattern. Finally they drew a face. They are hanging from the ceiling in our room!

Transportation Week
This game is called "Roll, Count, Cover". The preschoolers were partnered up. They each had a board with pictures of different types of vehicles on it and had to roll two dice, one had a number on it and the other had a type of vehicle. They then had to cover that on their board with the goal of covering the entire board.
For example if they rolled a 3 and a helicopter, they had to cover 3 helicopters on their board.
This game was called "Parking Cars". The preschoolers took turns getting a car out of the garage. The car had a number or dots on it. The preschoolers then had to drive and park their car in the correct numbered spot.
iPad time!
We mixed up some Amish Peanut Butter on Thursday and the preschoolers spread it onto toasted English Muffins. It was yummy!
Experimenting with ramps!
Each class graphed how they got to school on Thursday. The options were car, bus, walk or other. We counted up each section and discussed which had the most and which had the least. For some reason, no one took a plane to school! ;)
Gentry's dad, Larry, brought his semi truck over for us to look at! Each of the preschoolers climbed inside to take a look!
Awesome class picture!
Second Grade Buddies came to visit in the morning class. The preschoolers love having them come read to us!
